without geometry every thing would be pointless

I used to scoff at this sign on my friend’s shirt until I realized it was a pun. Oh well. :D

I lost my new umbrella this afternoon. :( It was purple, and it was under the seat beside mine in Math class. I forgot it was down there, and I left without it. :( When I went back after realizing I didn’t have it with me it wasn’t there no more. :(

And earlier, I had to muster enough confidence to just walk into DLRC (where they tutor students for FREE) and convince some of the volunteers to help me understand the bloody parabola. Like urgh, I feel asleep trying to solve it last night. :( About one hour, a dozen arguments and a couple of awkward moments later I finally understood the lesson. :D Thank God for the DLRC volunteers… I should bring them some Bavarian donuts some time…. :D

Math really does complicate a student’s life but it does have some perks. For example, if your prof was a cute 20-something then you’d really want to attend his classes just to see if he’s still wearing his favorite green sneakers, right? And while you’re walking home from the Math Dep’t you’d vow to yourself that someday you’d write a story where the main character’s name is the same as his? :D :D :D

My mom’s right. Sir Sanga was right. Math is beautiful. Finding the right answer after several arduous minutes of back-breaking, nerve-racking paper scratching and brow mopping really is satisfying. :D
